Secant Bored Pile (SBP) Wall Pile

The wall pile is one kind of earth retaining system formed by installation overlapping bored piles. Primary piles are installed first with secondary piles constructed in between primary piles once the latter gain sufficient strength. Secant piles may be divided into two: Hard/ Soft (alternate piles reinforced) and Hard/ Hard (all piles reinforced). Secant piles are constructed particularly at where there is high ground water table and permeable soils. CBP piles wall is an efficient and economic method of constructing temporary or permanent retaining walls. These techniques are suitable for the provision of deep basements and underground structures where working space is limited or adjacent existing structure require restraint. They avoid excessive bulk excavation and help to control ground movement.
